About Us
Our mission at Souls Restored Ministries (SRM) is founded on two core biblical principles, the second being dependent on the first. In Matthew 22: 34-40, the Pharisees asked Jesus what the greatest commandment is. He answered with the following:
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.
In stating that the entire law depends on these commandments, Jesus is telling us that one cannot follow the law without first following them. By extension, this means that one who is able to follow these commandments would be able to follow the law. How can so much power reside in the two types of love Jesus describes? Ultimately, this is the power to walk in perfection.
These commandments tell us what correct relationships with God and with each other look like. If we were to walk out all of our relationships perfectly, we would love God and man just as Jesus commands above, committedly and selflessly. That is the kind of love necessary to be able to live without violating the law. Having perfect love for God and for each other leaves no room for sinful desire.
At SRM, we believe that the restoration of any soul is contingent upon the restoration of that soul's relationships with God and with man. We believe that the word of God illustrates time and again that this concept is foundational to our faith. We believe that our God is one who restores, and that is the purpose for which He sent His Son. We believe that restoration to God is a necessary precursor to restoration to each other. We are here to help guide you through rebuilding the relationships that, although once broken in the garden of Eden, are now waiting to be restored through Jesus Christ.
